About Self-Help Compass
We publish short, practical nonfiction audiobooks for people who want to improve something specific — this week, not someday.
Our philosophy
Most nonfiction books make one useful argument and then repeat it for nine hours. We do the opposite: each title takes a single practical problem, explains a method that works, and ends with clear steps. Most run under an hour, so finishing is normal rather than rare.
Who our audiobooks are for
- Busy professionals who listen during commutes, walks and chores.
- Parents and carers with fragmented time but real problems to solve.
- Founders and freelancers who need an answer today, not a reading list.
- Anyone who has started long self-improvement books and never finished them.
How we choose topics
We look for questions people ask repeatedly — how to stop procrastinating, how to build a budget that survives a bad month, how to sleep better on a shift pattern. If a topic can be taught properly in under an hour, it becomes an audiobook. If it needs more room, we split it into a series.
Where to listen
Our titles are available through Kobo, Audiobooks.com, Spotify, Everand and Barnes & Noble, and many are available to borrow free through library apps including OverDrive and Libby, cloudLibrary and Boundless. Every audiobook page lists the options we currently have.
